Rudy Herrera
Rudy Herrera is the founder and CEO of College Assurity. He has worked in education for more than 25 years as a youth sports coach. Rudy discovered his passion for educational counseling in 2005 when he founded the 10U-18 Gold softball organization, which has helped nearly 200 high school students attend college on athletic and merit-based scholarships.
Inspired by the dedication of the students he coached in Santa Clarita Valley, created College Assurity to give young adults the guidance and tools that they might otherwise lack, setting them — and in turn, their communities — up for long-term success. Children are our future, and Rudy’s biggest goal as a college counselor is to create a brighter future for all.
Rudy holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in Communications from California State University, Northridge, and spent the beginning of his professional career putting his degree to work for companies like Pepsi Co. and Shearson Lehman. He is the proud father of four children and grandfather of two. He spends his free time training for triathlons and playing with his dogs Spot and Skyy.
